Yum Cha is one of the popular dim sum restaurants in Hong Kong.
While it might not be the most delicious, it certainly was the cutest.
It's popular among the locals, ex-pats, and tourists, alike because of it's unique take on dim sum.
This dim sum spot is the perfect place to do a child's birthday party or bring your friends visiting from out of town.
I had a friend visit from New York and she loved this dim sum experience.
We ordered a smorgasbord of dishes to sample.
Pictured here are BBQ pork dumplings, custard buns, sticky rice with shrimp, and shrimp dumplings (topped with edible gold(!))
And since dim sum is tea time in Asian culture, it was only appropriate that we ordered a pot of tea. Pu Erh is one of my favorite teas, it is served hot or cold. There are two varieties: raw and cooked. We ordered a pot of the cooked Pu Erh tea, which was delightful. Fun fact, “yum cha” means “drink tea” in Cantonese. Now, the name of the restaurant, Yum Cha, makes complete sense.
